d) Aquatic Ecotoxicology
e) The Biology and Ecology of Tropical bees
f) Biological control of Pests
g) Aflatoxin levels in Industrial raw materials and Ghanaian foods
h) Onchocerciasis and other Filarial diseases, Malaria, Schistosomiasis, Tissue and Intestinal Parasitic Infections and Microbial Infections.
i) Distribution and Survival of Indicator and Pathogen bacterial in rivers and streams and drinking water from various sources.
j) The status and change of some vegetation types in Ghana
k) Resistance mechanisms in the malaria parasite and the mosquito.
l) Ecological Sanitation

Collaborative research is on-going between the Department, the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) and the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, Hamburg, Germany. The Research is on Onchocerciasis, Filariasis, Malaria and Buruli Ulcer.
